Power is an interesting subject in Mobile Strike. Does Power Matter? Does having more power make you safer? These are some questions that we will seek to answer today. For those of you who are seeking to increase your power keep reading and we will give you some quick tips on where you can best do that so that you can have Phenomenal Cosmic power, in your itty bitty living space.
Ummm… Cin… What Do You Know About Power?
Anyone that has seen my account, or has known me for long enough knows that I play a small trap. I would like to call it tiny but ehhh, I know it’s smaller. So as a player who is invested in playing as small as possible how can I give advice on building power? Simple, one of my biggest objectives is to stay small. Which means that I need to know where power comes from so I can avoid it.
The importance of Power
I am well known for saying that Power does not matter. In the Mech Dimension, this is more and more true on a daily basis. With the majority of power coming from Troop Count power is no longer an indicator of safety but simply an Indicator of where you have invested time and energy.
I do not want to discuss this too much here yet because we will get into it more under our Tips to build power. However, keep in mind that most research does not give power anymore and that is where the majority of the stats that keep you safe come from.
I will, however, acknowledge that Power gives some players a sense of security. With troop count being the biggest source of power in the game currently, players will often feel that the bigger their Troop count the safer they are. However, keep in mind that if you do not have the stats to support those troops you will still light up like a matchbox soaked in lighter fluid.
I know that you still want to know where to get more power so you can be big though so let’s move on and I will allow you to decide how to proceed based on the conversations we have today.
A Note To My Trappers
Helloooo my trappers. I hope you have not stopped reading yet. I spoke about this a little bit above but I want to talk to you about why you should read this article. As Trappers, we often want to remain smaller (have less power) than other accounts. If we do not understand where our power comes from then we cannot avoid gaining it in the wrong places. So understanding where other players are building their power will help us to keep ours low.
Where Do We Get Power From?
Now that we have talked about that stuff, it is time to start digging into the nitty-gritty. In order to know how to increase your power, you first must know where power comes from. This can be divided into seven areas, we are going to list those areas in the order they are in on your profile and then we will move on to discussing them more deeply.
- Troop Power
- Trap Power
- Building Power
- Mission Power
- Research Power
- Commander Level Up
- Mech Power
Seven MSHQ Tips to Help You Increase Your Power Quickly
For the next seven tips, we are going to discuss power and how to gain it from the areas we mentioned above. We will discuss how effective that source of power is and any drawbacks to that source of power. One thing that is important to remember is that while I am putting this information out there it is not a good idea to build for power without giving consideration to stats.
MSHQ Tip One: The Power Behind Your Troops
Troops are the biggest source of power in the Mech Dimension today. The larger an army you amass the more power you have. The Drawback to this is that it can lull you into a false sense of security. More Troops does not necessarily equate to being stronger. As mentioned above if you do not have the stats to support those troops then you will still light up like a matchbox soaked in lighter fluid.
However, for those of you who do like to have massive amounts of troops sitting around your city, I mean if your VIP is high enough it is not like you need to feed them, we are going to discuss some quick information you need to know about the power they give.
- Titans and troops are both calculated under troop power.
- The higher the tier of troop the more power it gives. For example, a tier five troop gives ten in power while a tier six troop gives twelve in power.
- Artillery Troops give more power than their Infantry, Armored Vehicle, and Tactical Counterparts. A tier six Infantry, Armored Vehicle, or Tactical troop will give twelve in power, while an Artillery tier six troop will give eighteen in power. It is important to remember though that there are not many stats available to support Artillery troops compared to your other types.
MSHQ Tip Two: The Power Behind your Traps
Due to a lack of stats and well… usefulness when it comes to traps these have never taken off in the Mech Dimension. Traps actually give more power than troops however have a much lower capacity. Because of this capacity and the lack of stats to support them most players do not use traps.
MSHQ Tip Three: The Power Behind Your Buildings
Buildings in the Mech Dimension currently give between one and two billion in power when maxed. This is a good source of power in the Mech Dimension and if you happen to join the game when instant catch up tokens are available is a number you can boost quickly. Currently, an instant catch up token will take you to level 90 with max being 110. For my traps who are still reading, destroying buildings you are not using (such as farms) will help decrease your power.
MSHQ Tip Four: The Power Behind Missions
When the Mech Dimension first started Base Mission Power was a big no-no for traps. This bumped up your power quickly and it was not good. However, as power has increased over time the power you get from quests is a drop in the bucket. While I still recommend traps do not collect Base Missions because it is a noticeable power, it is not as imperative as it was in the past.
MSHQ Tip Five: The Power Behind Research
Most Research no longer gives power. This means that the power you gain from early research is insignificant. While research does not give power it is your best source of strength. So do not bypass it and base your security off the power number on your Base.
MSHQ Tip Six: The Power Behind Commanders
Commanders are another source of a lot of power in the Mech Dimension. Current maxed Commanders will leave you with between 1 to 2 bill power. For accounts that are trying to stay small, this number will make it difficult. While Commanders give some good stats the best source of stats remains research. In case I have not said that enough.
MSHQ Tip Seven: The Power Behind Mechs
Mechs do give power as you level them up. However, the amount of power given by Mechs is insignificant compared to other sources of power. This is a feature that is worth leveling up even if you are attempting to avoid power gains.
A Quick Recap
For those of you I lost along the way, the three quickest ways to increase your power include:
- Troops
- Buildings
- Commanders
However, the true strength of an account lies in the stats which come from a variety of different sources. Keep reading for some links to articles that will cover that information!
