Mayday! Mayday! It’s a new month and while we have lots of fun days this month May the Fourth be with you and Cinco De Mayo (tacos please), amongst a few, we are still talking about those April Showers that lead into May Flowers. The Month of April brought a few brand new things to the Mech Dimension and expanded upon a few familiar features. Your MSHQ Team wants to be sure that you do not miss out on any of the changes and we will be covering all of them right here. So let’s dive in.
What are Monthly Recaps?
Monthly Recaps are when we look back at the past month and the releases we saw. While you will be able to find this content in other articles as well, you will find the basics here. These basics include:
- The Release
- Details of the Release
- Any early costs collected
Elite Mod Set
April rained downed New Mods for our Bases. These new Mods are very similar to the Operator Mods with the biggest difference being a substantial increase in stats. This means that these Mods will be useful for Attackers, Defenders, and Control Point Players.
The Details
We created a comparison of New Mods to the older Operator Mod Set so you can see the similarities (what stats) and the differences (the amount of stats given).
Commander II Mastery
Most of us are familiar with Commander Mastery from our previous experiences with Commander I Mastery. There are a few important things we want to keep in mind when we are looking at Mastery:
- Points for Commander II Mastery Skills can be purchased from the Gold Store.
- While Mastery does not have a Commander level per se there is a Commander level requirement on the Skill Nodes. This means that you must meet the prerequisite Commander level before you can are able to spend your skill points. We saw this with Commander I as well. The players this impacts the most are traps who have purposely kept Commander levels low in order to avoid large power gains. It is now necessary for traps to weigh whether or not the power gain is worth the stat gain when looking at leveling up to skill Commander II Mastery.
The Details
With Commander II traditionally being a Commander that is geared towards stats for attackers it is easy to brush this release off as a release that is not as important for Defenders or Control Point Players. However, remember that the stats you see here apply even when that Commander is not active and some of the stats we see in Commander II Mastery will be relevant to other types of players. Stats you will find here include:
- Trap Defense, Attack, and Health
- Artillery Defense, Attack, and Health
- Tactical Defense, Attack, and Health
- Infantry Defense, Attack, and Health
- Armored Vehicle Defense, Attack, and Health
- Commander Attack
- Commander Attack vs Raid Boss
- Base Assault Defense, Health, and Attack
- Accuracy
- Armor Piercing
- Troop Defense, Attack, and Health
Grand Protector Gear
After the release of the new Attack and Control Point Gear, our Defenders were due for new Defense Gear. The stats on the new Grand Protector Gear far outshine the previous generation of defense Gear and it is worth working on upgrading to the newest Defense Gear.
The Details
We created a table that takes a closer look at the Grand Protector Stats in comparison to one generation older defense gear.
Advanced Tier Seven Troops
We knew it was coming soon after we completed the rotating events for Regular Tier 7 troops and it is here. Advanced T7 were released with their own research tree and their own unlock T7 Event Schedule. This continues the pattern of Covert Challenges that earn us prizes and unlocks for the actual troops.
A commonly asked question is the schedule for Covert Challenges so we have created one for here to reference.
The Details
Aside from unlocking the troops check out the stats you will get from this research tree:
Augments and Research
While new Augments have decent stats you will find the stats that really have some bang in the Research. For players who have been playing for longer Augments are familiar with from pre-cyber and Cyber days. However, for those who are newer, this will be your first experience with Augments. There are two things we want to note about Augments here:
- Augments can currently be equipped in your Weapon only
- Augments CANNOT be combined, this means that getting higher level Augments is about the luck of the draw when you open Augments crates…
The Details
There are two things we need to cover here:
- The Research
- The Augments
The Research
The Research contains the unlocks for the Augment slots on your Weapon and can be found under the Manufacturing tab in your Research Facility. In addition, to the unlocks it contains killer stats which can be seen here:
The Augments
Once you have unlocked the Augment slots you can equip Augments to your Weapon. The image below shows the stats you can get if you have level 6 Augments.
New Assault Vehicle Levels
We now have Three more Assault Vehicles rising to level 60 to help you as you Attack, play Control Point, or Defend your Base.
The Details
Dauntless, Atlas, and Striker Assault Vehicles all now go to level 60.
Lifetime Boosts
New Boosts for our Attackers arrived in the Development Center with some General Stats tossed in as well.
The Details
In order to unlock new boosts, you will need, Peak Boost Development Components.
VIP 190
Last but not least we saw VIP levels increase to 190 in the month of April. While new VIP levels do not come with any special unlocks or benefits there are some nice stat increases that we can see in this VIP Increase.
The Details
Below you can see the increase in stats from 180 to 190.
