Advanced Cybernetic Gear

Since gear is such an essential part of your base it must change and advance as your base grows.

As we look at advanced gear sets, we know they are comprised of three main types: attack, defense, and control point. There are also a few specialty gear sets to complement these main three sets.

In this next gear article, we will look at the newest advanced gear sets currently available in the game. Mixed gear sets, deployment gear, and rebel gear will also be included in the discussion.

In the last article, we looked at economic gear, beginning basic starter gear sets,  and some basic specialty gear. If you missed it click the link and read it for some essential tips before delving into this article.

Defense Gear

Protecting your base in today’s game environment is an essential part of the game. It will protect your monetary investment but it also keeps you from becoming a known easy target in the game. No one wants a repeat attacker bookmarking your base for being a weakling and watching for your shield to drop daily.

Defensive gear plays a vital role in your base protection along with base research and troop tier building.

When looking at your defense gear sets check your reports. If you are burning, pick a gear set with more health. If you are not burning, pick gear with more attack stats so you can increase your number of enemy kills.

Mixed gear sets can often work better than a full set of one type of gear when defending.

Mixed gear sets can often work better than a full set of one type of gear when defending. If you need more of a stat look outside the “boxed” gear set. Try adding a gear piece that has more of the stat you need.

When replacing pieces remember the strength of a set normally starts with the gun. Power then moves through the helm, armor, feet, and accessories in order of strength.

Keeping your strongest items and exchanging the weaker gear pieces, normally the feet and accessories.

Keeping your strongest items and exchanging the weaker gear pieces, normally the feet and accessories. This will help preserve the stronger skills of the set while allowing you to exchange or add stats you are missing from battle reports.

Trapping in Cybernetics is almost a lost art due to changes in game statistics.

Trapping in Cybernetics is almost a lost art due to changes in the game statistics. If you are still running a trap base the exchanging of gear pieces can play an essential part in correcting your stats from battle reports.

If you are losing too many troops, add defense and health and if you are just not killing enough try adding more attack.

Attack Gear

Attack gear is one of the easiest gear sets to choose when looking at your base. Your main objective is being the strongest attack you can acquire in the stats available. You must also be able to read your reports and know when to add and how to choose additional components to get the most kills from your attack while preserving a low loss ratio.

These include such stats as debuffs, troop and trap health, and defensive stats. Health plays a vital role currently in Cybernetics and is often worth adding to your gear stats at the sacrifice of a small amount of attack stats.

If you are not killing enough add attack stats to gear setup and if your losing too much add health, attack, and debuff stats to your gear.

Attack gear has 3 different components types:  rally attack, solo attack, and debuff gear. Deployment gear is also an important part of attack gear as it allows you to increase the size of your deployments.

Rally Attack Gear

Rally attack gear is for rallying a base or control point. You want to use as highest attack gear pieces you have available. Also, look for increased stats for rally attack and troop attack. Adding debuffs for troop health, trap health, and defense is also very useful.

When mixing gear on rally attack remember debuff gear pieces can provide the extra push you need to overcome a target.

While the name of the newest rally attack gear suggests it is for all rallies, it was actually designed for cp rally, not base attack.

Using the Debuff gear on a base really in maxed gear may help you have an increase in kills and a decrease in loss ratios.

Solo Attack Gear

This gear is for solo attacking a target. The stats important stats to include on solo are troop attack, trap attack, and health.

Adding debuffs will be as beneficial in your setup especially in defense and health.

Adding debuffs will be as beneficial in your setup especially in defense and health. This is also why mixing solo gear with debuff gear gives you overall higher gear stats on the attack.

Debuff Attack

Debuff gear is a great tool to use in rallies and solo attacks if you understand how it works. Debuffs are sometimes unpredictable if you do not know the base or opponent you are attacking. The debuffs you use may be canceled out by the active debuffs of your opponent.

Debuffs are sometimes unpredictable if you do not know the base or opponent you are attacking.

Debuff gear often works best on like or smaller troop and trap base when compared to your base. A base with higher troop and trap levels often does not respond well to debuff gear. That is where trial and error and being able to read your attack reports will be invaluable.

Or you could be like some players who never look at a report and just hit with both gear sets and see if the target burns because after all, a burn is a win… right?

Control Point

The control point is an intriguing and complex area of expertise in Mobile Strike, it can also be the most frustrating time you will ever experience.

The thing to remember is every single stat is important at the control point.

The thing to remember is every single stat is important at the control point. The deployment numbers are small and fixed so you cannot adjust this area of the game dynamics, you must instead focus on reports and look at your stats. This is why your gear is so important in this attacking the CP and trying to effectively hold the CP.

Control point gear sets are pretty straight forward. Holding the cp is what this gear was specifically designed to do. Adding defense and debuff pieces to gear set can afford you some increase in stats. Health and attack are key to winning the battle and holding at the control point.

The control point has two separate parts attack and holding and requires three essential gear selections.

  1. Speed/deployment gear, this is designed to get you in the control point faster.
  2. Rally gear, this gear is your best attack gear available to attack the person currently holding cp.
  3. Control point holding gear, specifically designed stats for holding and defending cp against enemy attacks.

Deployment Gear

Deployment gear is an important set on any rally or filler base. Gear increases the troop count in deployment and increases the speed deployment to arrive at a target. Another important feature when using deployment gear is you receive the stats from both sets of gear, on deployment when you send with deployment gear and again when you change to an attack gear set before you hit the target.

Deployment gear increases the troop count in deployment and increases the speed in which the deployment arrives at the target.

Deployment gear would be the second set of gear I recommend upgrading once you have picked a set for a rally if your role is an attack base or a filler base.

Base attack stats will increase with this gear as you are able to send a larger rally at the target.

If you are a control point base you can use speed gear instead of deployment gear as your not able to increase the size of a rally targeted at the control point.

Both types currently work at the control point. The choice will depend on how much speed you can obtain from each type of gear. The only way to determine this is to do some testing at the control point.

Another important thing to remember when using deployment gear is if your target ports before you change to rally gear you will hit them in deployment gear. The only stats on your attack will be your deployment gear stats if this happens.

When setting up your deployment gear make sure you skill it and use the correct mods for the attack you are currently making.

When setting up your deployment gear make sure you skill it and use the correct mods for the attack you are currently making.

If your using deployment gear at the cp you will want to skill your commander for speed and attack using an augment such as emerald green and retro mods.

The skill you base for rally size increase, attack, and debuff with full attack mods and augments in case your target ports before you can equip the attack gear.

Rebel Gear

Rebel gear is a specific gear type used for hunting rebels. It is very useful in rebel events such as the raid boss events.

Gear is designed to increase your hit power on a rebel. It also reduces the cost of energy on a hit and speeds up your March speed. Another feature is it reduces the time required to replenish your energy.

Rebel gear is a specific gear type used for hunting rebels and is very useful in rebel events such as the raid boss events.

Currently not seeing the decrease in the energy required in cybernetics, it remains at 1T max needed with or without rebel gear. Hopefully, this feature will return as the game progresses.

If you have old rebel mods they can be helpful but there are no new mods out for this gear, nor any specialized augments for rebel gear. Try out a few types, I use an augment that increases my speed of attack just so I can hit the rebels faster.

Old Rebel Mods

Test different setups on your base and find what mods and augments works best for you because everyone has a preference but I’ve seen no one comments on finding anything that increases the hit ratios on the rebel itself other than the previously mentioned old rebel mods. If you find something that works for you please leave a comment here or in one of our social media sites.

Cybernetic Devourer Rebel Gear

This gear increases the hit ratio on a target and also speeds up the attack march when used with the 550 original commander.

Older Rebel Gear

Desert Hunter Gear

This gear performs almost identically to the newer Devourer rebel gear when used with the original 550 com. The hit ratio is the same but some players have reported an increased in speed with the newer gear. Most players had broken the old Desert Hunter gear and the old Winter Warrior rebel gear sets, the Devourer is the newest set released to replace these older sets. Look for it in drop packs in rebel prep packs in the gold store.

Useful Tips

When choosing your gear remember no two bases are identical, this guide is just a tool to help you pick your gear, not a concrete plan.

Test Gear

Test gear often especially if new mods and/or augments are being used. These burnable items can often change your gear performance pieces to make 1 set piece now stronger than a previously chosen gear piece.

Burnable Items

Burnable item is a term used to describe items that change frequently or items that are more disposable. The items on your base are described as durable items are most commonly mods, augments, and banner insignia.

Gear Classes within a Gear Set

When looking at your gear sets always try to go with the highest level of the gear in a set. These levels refer to classes among a single gear set. For example, Dominator gear is broken into two classes: Elite and  Common. Elite is 1½ times more powerful than common gear.

In the Noble gear, we have three set classes: Ultimate Grand Noble, Grand Noble, and Grand set. Noble is your basic set, each higher set is slightly stronger. Grand noble is 1½ times stronger than Noble, and Ultimate Grand Noble is 2 times stronger than noble.

Evaluate New Gear

Another important factor is when new gear appears sometimes seemingly low piece may be stronger than an older maxed gear set. For example, Dominator over Noble gear pieces, even a low-level quality piece in Dominator has better stats than a maxed piece in Noble gear in some cases.

Comparing Gear

Whenever you are comparing one gear piece to another gear piece use this one simple technique and it can save you a lot of time searching your base for gear stats.

Go into your current base commander and select the current piece of gear you are using, then click on the gear piece you are considering swapping it for.

Click on the question mark ( ? ) in the lower right-hand corner of the picture above. This will bring up a comparison of almost the stats on the 2 selected pieces.

Anything in green is an added % to the gear stat and anything in red is a stat you will be losing a % from the gear set.

Serums

Also, don’t forget your serums! The serums can boost all your stats including your gear performance.  Check out the specific type your base needs and push those stats up to all new heights.

https://www.mobilestrikehq.com/optimize-your-biotech-lab-with-serum-recipes-plus-tips-from-the-community/

In Conclusion

You now have the knowledge to know which gear sets are available. You can also determine the usefulness of each gear set on your base.

Gear stats are calculated on each gear piece. I did not include stats here as this data is available on your base. Also is it an enormous amount of data.

Use the above tips to look at your gear pieces and evaluate them on a one on one basis. Gear levels include a range of quality and enhancements among bases. Remember the blog posts only have stats for a maxed set.

When mixing gear sets test in the real game scenario to find your bases sweet spot when it comes to gear.

Being able to evaluate your reports and adjust your Cybernetic gear in response to these reports is fundamental in improving your base.
