Gear is an essential part of Mobile Strike. Understanding what each of your Gear related buildings do and what is available is important as you seek to manufacture gear and do events. Today we are going to take you on a walkthrough of all your gear related buildings, their benefits, and their functions.
The Armory
The Armory opens before you and there are so many tabs! What do we do with all of these sections! Today we are going to talk about what each of the tabs does and how to best use these to your benefit. First off let’s just talk about your Armory as a building.
The Armory gives a few benefits including opening your third Accessory slot for gear at level 21. However since most of us are already considerably past level 21 we do not think about this anymore, so what other benefits are you getting from your Armory?
Your Armory is going to provide you with a Normal Equipment Manufacturing Cost Reduction, in simpler terms it is going to reduce the number of speed ups you need in order to Manufacture your gear.
However, the benefits no longer stop with only manufacturing benefits. Your Armory will also give you Armor Piercing stats. For those of you who are new Armor Piercing is a defense debuff which means it reduces the amount of Troop Defense your opponent has.
Armory Functions
Now that we have talked about the overall building benefits let’s talk about the functions. When you open your armory you are going to see this:
We are going to make our way down this list and talk about what you can do with each of these tabs and hopefully make your life a little easier so you know exactly what you are doing when you open your Armory.
Collectibles
The collectibles tab is not one we use often. Here you will find what is called Collectibles, you are able to combine these, and upon combining them to level 6 you can exchange them for an avatar or other items, depending on what collectible you are combining. Most of the time this is not a tab you will need to worry about however if at any time collectibles become all the rage now you know where you will find them.
Manufacture
This is one of the most used tabs in your Armory. This is where you are going to manufacture your gear. When you click on Manufacture it will open this page:
From here you can select what you want to manufacture and it will take you to a list of those items. At this point in time Set Gear is one of the most used tabs, however, when we have special gear that is not in a set such as the Superior Training Belt that gives great training and research stats you will find those under their type of gear. So to find this belt we would look under Accessories.
Set Gear
When we look at Set Gear we will see a list of all of our set gear that is available in the Mech Dimension. Here you can select the gear set you want to manufacture and it will show you what pieces of gear are in that set, the stats, the materials you have, and how likely you are to craft at different grades based on those materials.
All of us have the goal of crafting Legendary Gear as it gives the best stats. However, the real question is whether or not you want to wait until you are at a 100% chance of Legendary or go ahead and craft at a lower percentage.
A word of caution: You will see above that my Dreaded Shield Set Gear shows that it is all purple. However, it is not! Because of set bonuses, the gear in your Armory will always show the color of the set bonus you are currently receiving, unless you are not receiving a set bonus. This has caused many to manufacture more than one gold helm.
Combine
Combine is our next tab and is used frequently. Here you are able to Combine Attachments, Cores, Mods, Materials, and Insignia. You have a few options here. One you will see is Master Combine. This button is nice because it will allow you to combine everything in your materials at once.
However!! Be cautious with this button at times we will have events that require us to combine materials and if you keep your materials constantly combined you will find it difficult to complete these events.
You are also able to combine one material type at a time and select what level you want to combine it to. This is my preferred method so I can always be sure I have mats to combine when an event rolls around.
When it comes to cores and attachments not many are using these tabs anymore as Cores have really phased out. The Mod tab will open all your mods so you can combine there. The Materials tab is where you will find your materials for your permanent gear. This tab is organized by a gear set with the most recent gear materials being at the top and it works its way all the way to the bottom where the oldest gear materials are.
The final tab on the Combine page is our Insignia tab. Since there are not Insignia combine events generally this is a place that it is safe to hit Master Combine This tab will allow you to combine your insignia to power up their stats.
Inventory
The Inventory Tab is going to open up and allow you to see all of the gear you currently have. By selecting your gear from this page you can do a few things. You can place mods in your gear. You can get set details and you can also Break Gear. Be cautious with breaking gear.
If you have not yet received a set bonus and you break the gear you will have to manufacture it again. However, if you have already received the set bonus and your Master Supply Depot is already above level 35 you can break the gear piece and still maintain the set bonus while freeing up space in your inventory.
Your Inventory is limited when it comes to space and it costs loyalty to expand it so breaking gear will save you loyalty and keep your inventory nice and tidy.
Core Gear
The Core Gear tab is going to show you cores and attachments you have available to help manufacture different cores. However, at this time Cores are not relevant in the Mech Dimension and this is not a tab that is being utilized by many.
Mods/Materials
This tab will simply show you the mods and materials you have. You can click on the mods or mats and get more detailed information however, there is not a lot of use in this tab. It is simply an inventory of the Mods and Mats you own.
Insignia
Finally, we have the insignia tab. Once again this is simply an inventory of your insignia that you own. You can click on them and find more information about them and you can also add insignia to your Favorites from this page. These are all functions that are available in your monument as well.
The Nuclear Forge
Nuclear Forge is another building that correlates to our gear. This building gives us our set bonuses. By leveling it up you can get set bonuses from your gear even if you do not have legendary gear. This building maxes out at level 6.
In this building, you will be able to see each gear set and the set bonuses offered. However, you will not be able to manufacture gear from this building. The data provided here is purely informational and can be accessed from your Armory as well.
The Combat Lab
The Combat Lab is the last building we will address. This building has a few functions. This building maxes out at level 10 and by leveling it up it allows you to open different functions such as Enhancing your gear.
Improve Quality
This is the first function you will see in your Combat Lab. This allows you to take a piece of gear from one level to the next. For example, if you crafted an Elite helm but need legendary you can upgrade it to legendary here if you have the mats needed.
Not many people use this function as some of the mats needed are very difficult to come by and this function has fallen out of use because of this.
Set Gear Leveling
This is the most important tab within this building. This allows you to level up different sets of gear which adds more stats. These stats are generally a nice boost and if you have the set gear and the materials to level it up it is wise to do so. You will not see gear show in this tab unless you own a set.
Enhance
Enhance is our final function in this tab. Enhancing gear adds even more stats. This is another function that is not really used much as some newer sets of gear have never had the ability to enhance them be released. However, if you are able to enhance gear that you are actively using it is a good way to boost your stats.
