Are you strong enough to lead your army, or a smart enough tactician to defend your Stronghold? Every battle has a Commander that stands out and rises above the rest. Does your Commander have what it takes?
Your Commander is an important aspect of your base. Currently, there are six Cybernetic Commanders. We will cover each of these Commanders and address what some of the skills they bring to the table are. Each of these Commanders has its own unique set of skills. In addition, we will give you a side by side comparison of each of these Commanders so you know what Commander to pick for what function.

Commander Level
Let’s look at Commander levels from each side:
Attack and Control Point
As a lead player, you want your Commander to be the highest level possible. Commander levels give great boosts in attack and health.
Defense
If your goal is just defense so that you can unshield, your Commander should definitely be leveled as high as possible. However, many of us old-school traps know that there used to be more strategy regarding whether or not you level up your Commander. For traps, Commander level used to be key because if your Commander level was too high, leads would not hit.
All of these factors need to be taken into account when choosing whether or not to level your Commander:
- Is the cost of this feature realistic for me?
- Are the stats worth the possible decreased hits due to Commander level?
- If I choose not to level up, where else can I get stats that I am missing from Commander levels?
Skilling of the Commander Tree
Skilling is no longer as simple as it was with previous Commanders. We do not have massive amounts of skill points to allocate wherever we want, and it is not cut-and-dry “start at the bottom and work your way up.” Your points need to be very well-planned.
Things to Consider when Skilling:
- In order to put just one point in the bottom skill, you must use 24 points.
- Just because you unlock a box doesn’t mean you can max that skill; you must be a certain Commander level to max the skill.
- Points are very limited at first, then you should look out for packs that include additional Commander skill points for each Commander.
- Commander Gear Presets do not open right away for each Commander and are included in VIP.
- Commander Skill Presets are added later, and are a VIP feature as well.
There are multiple factors to consider when skilling your Commander. On the defense and attack side, skilling for attack will be very important.
Which Commander
With the multitude of Commanders, at times choosing the right Commander to use can be difficult. We have created a table for the Commanders so you can look at a side-by-side comparison of their stats. We will look at Combat Stats and Economy Stats. The number in the table is what the Commander offers at the max skilled level. So be aware that, depending on your Commander Level, you may still need to make adjustments for yourself. We have broken these down into six sections in order to make finding the stats you need for your Commander easier.
Cybernetic Combat Stats
Attack Stats
Defense Stats
Health Stats
Cybernetic Economy Stats
Cybernetic Over Limit Deployment Stats
Cybernetic Debuffs
The Other Commanders
WIth Cybernetics resetting the game, are all of those other Commanders irrelevant? Mostly, but not completely. If you plan on hitting any Rebel Targets, your Cybernetic Commander has no skills for this, so using your original Commander is best for this function.
Bait traps! Toss your old Commander on with old gear and swap that Commander! With the expense of gear presets for those who love bait trapping, this brings a whole new level of strategy.
Do not forget to switch to your original Commander when you are powering up gear in the Combat Lab! Make sure that the “Power Up Efficiency” tile is fully skilled in the Novice section of your Commander skill tree. This drastically reduces the number of materials you need to power up your Cybernetic Gear! In addition, with Serums once again being relevant be sure to use this Commander when manufacturing your Cybernetic Serums.
We have heard of many other uses for your Commander out there. So be sure to check the Eco stats on your Original Commander and see how it can help you.
Commander Garrison
While the Commander Garrison is still in your city there are currently no Cybernetic stats included here. Therefore, this is a feature you do not need to factor into your calculations. However, you are able to still assign Commander’s that you are not using to these slots.
There are many factors that need to be considered when choosing your Commander. However, the right Commander brings a lot of benefits to your base. Make sure that you brush up on what Hero to use for what Research, which Hero best trains which troop, and what Hero to use for Combat stats that best enhance your Commander in Battle. Choosing the correct Hero can make a huge difference.
