Guide to Cybernetic Gear

Cybernetic gear is an important part of your overall gameplay. It provides a large part of your stats in every aspect of your base even when your commander is not on your base, unless he is in prison or dead.  (Then it is no help at all, lol).

Gear provides boosts and increased stats for every base task you need to perform to grow your base. Gear is also essential for defending your base and for attacking enemies.

GETTING STARTED

First and foremost you have to look at the fundamentals of your base before you just buy or make a set of gear and equip it to your commander.

Research

The first building block is always your research. Old base research even in the Cybernetic dimension is the first block in building a strong house. Without a strong foundation, your base will not work correctly no matter how many new releases you buy and add to the base.

As the game evolves you should be able to buy an offered pack on your base that will instantly complete this old research.

The important things you will gain in your research related to your gear are in the manufacturing research tree.

In this research, you will find boosts for mod and augments, open slots for gear, find reductions in cost for making gear, establish multipliers for stats and other useful and essential items.

Manufacturing luck is also in the research tree. While it came out for making cores originally, it is still useful in making cybernetic gear.

What does manufacturing luck do you ask? Ok, imagine you have enough materials to make a level purple (5) gear piece but you really want a level gold (6) piece of gear.

With manufacturing luck, you say a little prayer (ok I do) and press the manufacture button. You might receive exactly what you had the files for; the purple gear piece or luck may swing in your favor and now you have a gold gear piece because you have completed this research on your manufacturing research tree.

While this sounds great and magical, make sure you are willing to take the risk, sometimes it is better to wait until you have materials for a gold piece of gear if the gear piece is essential to your base.

You can find more information on research in The Guide to Research https://www.mobilestrikehq.com/cybernetic-research-guide-part-1/.

Nuclear Forge

Once you have completed the research, move on to you Nuclear Forge. Make sure you have each set completed to max out your boosts. Many items can be made in the manufacturing portion of your base. Others will have to be purchased in the Gold Store.

The Nuclear Forge gear set boosts are also an important part of these gear boosts. When you have completed a gear set in Nuclear Forge you get all the boost stats on each set you complete whether you are wearing the set or not.

To see what gear you are missing and to see your boosts active, look at each individual gear set.

Gear set bonuses are also a very important boost in gear. You will have to use special files found in events and the Gold Store to level up set gear bonuses.

Gear Types

Let’s take a look at the current sets types available in your inventory and the best gear for each part of your base.

There are four different types of gear for different functions in your base.

  1. ECONOMY
  2. DEFENSE
  3. ATTACK
  4. CONTROL POINT

Economy Gear

This gear type is designed to save your base money over time. Each set will provide different qualities unique to the type of gear. All sets are designed to help you be cost-efficient in completing base tasks so you can become a stronger base.

Economy gear features help you decrease the number of files, RSS, and time needed to build troops, construct buildings, and do research. It also provides other features when combined with certain commanders for additional boosts in the skills tree.

Your original 550 Com and Lucky gear can give you better rewards when opening crates.

Original 550 Com can also give you boosts when serums and reductions in materials needed for enhancing gear when used with all-around gear set such as your royal task force gear.

Research gear

Use your research gear to decrease the time and RSS needed to complete your base research. When evaluating the usefulness of this gear remember research makes up a large portion of your base strength and power. Without proper research, you will never be a strong base. This gear type would be my first recommendation for a new player to obtain.

The most current research gear works up to level 1150 HQ after which there is currently no reduction above 1150 HQ.

Cybernetic Research Gear

Gathering Gear

This gear is used to gather resources from tiles. Every task we do on Mobile Strike requires RSS – Food, Stone, Iron, Coin, and also Gold. Gathering Gear should be your second essential gear for your base.

It reduces the time on a tile to clear all the resources available, increases the max amount of troops you can deploy to a tile, increases the amount (load) you can gather off a tile, and provides some small attack and defense stats to protect your troops while off base gathering.

Cybernetic Gathering Gear

Construction Gear

The buildings carry a big amount of your base power and strength similar to research but each building also adds a unique boost to your base and this boost grows and changes as you continue to build and level up your buildings. This gear would be the third set recommended for your base progression.

For more information on this check out the building guide*.  *Coming Soon!

Use construction gear to decrease the time for completing buildings, the RSS used, and the amount of files required. Currently, this gear only works up to level 1150 HQ. After that, there is no current reduction in files or RSS.

Cybernetic Construction Gear

Troop Training Gear

Use the troop training gear to decrease the time to train your troops and also reduce the amount of RSS needed for training. This gear would be the fourth in essential gear since you do not need to train troops until you have built your base foundation and gained some power and experience in the game.

Cybernetics Training Gear

You can learn more about troop training and gear setups in the Guide to Efficiency Training Cybernetic Troops article. https://www.mobilestrikehq.com/how-to-efficiently-train-cybernetic-troops/

Defense Gear

Defense Gear is just what it states, it is designed to defend and protect your base and troops from attack. There are a varied amount of combinations available within the four newest gear sets. Mixing the set pieces with newer and older gear can improve the overall defense of your base and commander.

If you do not have a complete set or if the new set-piece is not leveled up far enough to add additional boosts then an older piece may still have better overall stats for your base.

Cybernetics Barricade Gear

This gear set is your first building block set for defense currently available. Look for advanced gears set article to be released soon and we will take a deeper look into current gear and gear mixes to help protect your base.

Rally Attack Gear

Rally gear plays a vital role in your attack abilities, whether a base or control point attack. There are so many combinations in gear within the four newest sets of attack gear you can choose from. Also by adding some defense pieces into your rally attack gear, you can improve your kill numbers in certain attack scenarios.

Cybernetics Lone Wolf Gear

The Lone Wolf Gear Set is your starter set for the attack. This gear set is your primary gear set for rallying a base.

As your base improves and you are powerful enough to take on bigger targets your gear will also need to improve. Look for advanced gear article to continue to the next step in your bases abilities to attack an opponent and get yourself in the right gear.

Solo Attack Gear

Solo Attacks are a good way to test your base, your gear, and your set up. They are also a lot of fun and can provide a quick attack on an enemy who you suspect will run or shield.

The combinations in the current gear sets allow you to pick between a straight attack gear or a debuff gear set. Sometimes the debuff does better on a base if close to or equal size as yours. The only way to figure out what you can or cannot hit solo is to do some testing.

Let’s look at some of your options for a solo attack and then you choose and go do some testing.

Cybernetic Hammerhead Gear

Hammerhead gear is where to start on taking on an opponent as a solo, it is good against a target the same size as you with similar gear set. Once you have mastered the basics and have improved your base and troop power then head over and read the advanced gear article for the most current gear available for a solo attack.

Deployment Gear

Deployment gear has attack qualities but it is used to boost your deployment size. When using deployment gear always keep gear on until after you deploy and then swap to an attack gear, solo or rally. If you swap before, the attack will cancel because you will be over the limit on deployment numbers. By using deployment gear you get a bigger deployment size and you will get the benefits if both sets of gear boosts.

You do not need deployment gear for a control point rally as numbers are fixed.

Ultimate Grand Conquer

This gear set is an example of a deployment gear set and was one of the first introduced into cyber. We will discuss this gear further in the advanced gear article coming out soon.

Cybernetic Combat Speed Set

As the name states, this gear is only used to speed up your deployment march time.

Since we have different types of deployment needs in the game the speed gear is primarily only used to decrease your deployment time to the control point.

To use speed gear correctly the rally lead will equip the speed gear set, and players will fill the rally on the control point. After the rally lead deploys, the lead will use your 1 Speed Up from items, whatever the max you currently have: 75%, 50%, and 25% reductions are available. After the speed up is used, the lead will then swap to rally gear and wait for the deployment to arrive at Control Point. Good luck, I hope you win!

Cybernetic Speed Gear

There are several different sets of speed gear available. Test several sets and see which is best suited for your base setup. All bases are not created equally as you will quickly see when testing speed gear.

Debuff Gear

Debuff gear provides less attack and defense than other gear set but it makes up for it in debuff on opponents defense, attack, and health.

This gear is really effective in a solo situation and also in some rally situations. You also will see this gear listed in solo rally section with some gear sets.

Cybernetics Hammerhead

While this set does have good debuff qualities it is not ideal for a rally but best suited for a solo. We will discuss debuff gear further in the advanced gear article coming soon and how to pick it for certain rally situations.

This has been an overview of gear sets available in Mobile Strike. Be sure to look for more in-depth articles and new information on the latest gear available on the game.

As you prepare for choosing you gear check out the article https://www.mobilestrikehq.com/how-to-pick-the-right-gear-for-you/

to help you determine what the best gear to focus on for the type of base you plan on becoming and be sure to follow up with advanced gear article coming soon.
