Now what? You rallied the CP and you were able to kick the person holding the CP. What do you do?
Holding a CP is pretty easy and slightly boring, depending on the day. There are many scenarios of how you became Head of State:
- You rallied the CP with your alliance and won
- You walked right into a newly opened CP
- Someone transferred the CP to you
Whether you kicked someone from the CP or walked in, you still need to do the following steps to assure that you are doing everything you can do to keep the CP.
What do you do when you become Head of State (HOS)?
There are a few things you need to do quickly after taking the CP. You need to: change gear and send your second set of vehicles into the CP.
The newest holding gear is called Calamity. The better the enhancement and the improvement is on the gear, the better the gear is. If you don’t have Calamity, the new Bulwark gear or the old Elite Havoc gear will work, however the Calamity gear has the best boost and will help you hold much better.
There are people who play around with the Bulwark gear as well, adding a few to the holding gear. Depending on the competition, the gear usually is 100% Calamity.
The Mods on the gear change every month. This month the mods are Partisan mods. Level 6 will give you the best boost for that mod. If you don’t have the newest Mods, the Triumph Mods could be used.
Augments seem to change often as well as Mods. This month the Augments are Vulpes, level 6 is the best augment. If you don’t have the Vulpes augments the Subsolarsalvo augment can be used.
Second Set of Vehicles
Sending in the second set of vehicles is new in the past couple of months. There are many different combinations of vehicles you can put in the CP. The CP vehicles are:
- Cybernetic Banshee 02
- Cybernetic Predator
- Cybernetic StR-1Kr
- Cybernetic Stealth Bomber
- Cybernetic D1GY Tank
- Cybernetic Crawler
What do you do while holding the CP?
There isn’t much you can do while holding the CP. Your commander is in the CP and your team is there supporting you. While they are supporting you, you could ask for a commander boost and also rein.
The commander boost you will need can be the reason you will win or lose, even if it’s not very large. Please ask your alliance to give you the maximum commander boost.
The commander boosts are:
- Debuff to Enemy Cybernetic Health support at 723.33% boost
- Debuff to Enemy Cybernetic Defense support at 338.58% boost
- Debuff to Enemy Cybernetic Attack Support at 723.33% boost
- Base Defender Cybernetic Health support at 1,084.76% boost
- Base Defender Cybernetic Defense support 1,084.76% boost
- Base Defender Cybernetic Attack support at 1,084.76% boost
Reining the HOS
Anyone in your alliance can rein you. Any troops and titan combination works. What doesn’t work is if someone reins you with OLD troops or OLD titans. These will get you thrown off the CP on fire if someone hits you. The alliance member who reigns with old troops or old titans should be kicked and banned from coming back to the alliance.
Watching for Enemies
Depending on the day, you may play ping-pong with a CP or you may sit for six hours and close it easily. Keep an eye out for your enemies to come and try to take the CP from you.
When you are holding the CP the plus you have is you have control. You don’t have control of much, but you have control of what is in the CP. You can also watch the rallies that are coming to the CP and see what troops, titan combination they are sending and try to counteract the troops by switching around the CP. This has to be quick because the march to the CP is between 1 minute and 3 minutes, depending on the speed gear and old titan combination in the rally.
If there is a rally, please remember to mark the rally lead and boost yourself. Please use the following boost:
- Cybernetic Attack (75,000%)
- Cybernetic Defense (75,000%)
- Cybernetic Rally Health (45,000%)
- Cybernetic Rally Attack (45,000%)
- Cybernetic Control Point Holding Health (45,000%)
- Cybernetic Control Point Holding Attack (45,000%)
Each Hour, while holding the CP
Keep in mind this is a six-hour hold. Make sure your CP boost is active every hour. Please ask your alliance to watch your commander boosts every hour. These both are very important.
Rallies while holding the CP
Your team may want to rally the enemy off of the CP, and this is good. The problem comes when the enemy wants to rally you, the Head of State. Your com is in the CP, please make sure before holding the CP that you can take a rally without your com.
Holding the CP can be boring
If there is no competition for the CP, the CP holding can be very boring. I usually will watch other battles at CPs while I am holding, or I join my alliance in rallies. Sometimes during the night hours, I sleep and will deal with a lost CP when I wake up.
CP holding is a little boring, but it is also rewarding. It was you who closed the CP for your team. Alliance members look up to those who can close. It takes a lot of time and money to be a decent CP rally and holding base.
It’s not for everyone. I became a CP oriented base when there was not another CP player. I wasn’t forced into the holding, but it wasn’t my first choice. Now that I do hold and I understand the holding it’s much better.
There is some strategy for holding the CP, this will come in time.
